Whether you’re into Pop, Funk, Soul, Metal, Rock, Indie, Reggae, Jazz, Blues or even Electronic music, our lessons will focus on the music you love. We’ll also look at the inner workings of music so that you can create your own bass-lines and become the bass player you want to be!
Helping You Ace Exams
Looking to take grade exams? With a First Class Degree in Professional Musicianship from BIMM, you will get the best help to ace any form of music exams. Join the rest of my students who have all successfully passed with Merits or Distinctions!

Nick is an enthusiastic and adaptable bass tutor. Graduating with a 1st Class BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Musicianship from BIMM Bristol, he has used his knowledge of bass, and musical enthusiasm to help students learn the bass in a fun and engaging way.

What could be easier than having bass lessons in the comfort of your home?
I’m able to travel around Bristol, Portishead, Nailsea, and Clevedon. Even if you’re further out, drop me a message and we’ll see if we can make it doable!
As long as you have an adequate space, with a small bass set-up and a bit of privacy we’re good to go!
LESSONS IN A STUDIO
If we’re unable or unsure of having lessons in your home, I also take lessons at Mickelburgh in Bristol City Centre.
Mickelburgh has a number of dedicated teaching rooms, so is the perfect location for learning the bass guitar!

All bass guitar lessons are personalised 1-to-1 lessons, so you get my full undivided attention.
Lessons can either be 30 or 60 Minutes,
whichever works best for you!
60 Minutes
- In a 60 Minute lesson we can get a lot covered, and usually can tackle a new technique/exercise and a new song in the same lesson!
30 Minutes
- In a 30 Minute lesson we still get a lot covered! We’ll get a new technique or a new song mastered all within 30 minutes!
